Today we discuss how to maximize the opprituntity to leverage your guest's audience, the number one must do thing when interviewing someone, and three strategies for getting your guest to share with their audience.

Step 1: Create Share Worthy Content

This may seem obvious, but the best way to get your guest to share their interview with their audience is to make it a REALLY good interview.

Beyond that you want to make it as easy as possible for them to do so, including creating graphics and links for sharing.

I recommend filling a google folder full of assets for you guests to share like this.

Activity: Create Great Content

Reflect on your podcast and interviews. What are some things you could do to improve the quality and make it easy for your guests to share?

Now lets make sure that when you email them their episode, you increase your guest's engagement.

Step 2: Email Your Guest

When you are publishing your guests episode, you want to email them to let them know their episode is live. In that email you want to make it as easy as possible for them to share.

Below is an email script I use when I am emailing my guests about their episode:

Hey Name,

Hope you had a great weekend. Your fantastic interview is LIVE today! I want to thank you for such an insightful conversation.

It is on every podcast platform but here are the relevant links:

• Your episode page & shownotes
• My LinkedIn announcement

Also, if you have extra time, here are a few quick and easy ways to share your podcast that would certainly go a long way. The more you are able to do, the more people we can get to hear your interview.

• Embed the podcast player on your website or blog using the following code: <iframe height="200px" width="100%" frameborder="no" scrolling="no" seamless src="https://player.simplecast.com/3a54104a-fd65-4f06-bf8a-70a3732f8081?dark=false"></iframe>
• Send an email to your most passionate fans and email subscribers.
• Download the audio and repurpose it for your own content.
