Steps for Skill Mastery:
Curating content ideas can be a daunting task if you are unsure where to look, however today we are going to start looking in places that will allow you to not only find great ideas but also be talking about the most relevant topics your audience wants to hear about.
The first place we will explore are popular blog articles that are trending in your niche and find out what the most talked about topics are.
The first resource we will use is Buzzsumo, a research and monitoring tool that allows you to find the most shared content on the internet.
Using the search bar on Buzzsumo, you can type in topics, keywords, and phrases that relate to your podcast niche and see what articles are most popular.
Start searching for some topics in your podcast niche and studying what they are talking about. Also click through to those articles and see what discussions are happening in the comments section of the podcasts for more content ideas.
Based on the most shared content, what are some popular topics in your niche?
Now let's move to keywords
The second pair of resources we will use are Google Alerts & Ubersuggest, which use the power of search and keywords to curate ideas.
Google Alerts is a content change detection and notification service, offered by Google. The service sends emails to you when it finds new results—such as web pages, newspaper articles, blogs, or scientific research—that match your search term.
Here is the process from Google to setup an alert.
Using this tool, we can setup to be alerted whenever is something is written about a particular topic in you niche. Then you can create content around that same topic and know what others in the industry are saying about it.

When the results popup, you can click on the “content ideas” tab on the left to see the most popular content being created on the internet around this topic.

Now let's move to popular questions.
Our next resource is going to allow us to create content answering the most asked questions on the internet around our podcast niche. Answer The Public is a tool that allows you to input a keyword or topic and it delivers all the questions that are asked on search engines like Google around that specific topic.
Search for some of your niche’s topics and write down the most popular questions (the dark green circles) that get asked concerning that topic.
