What is a Personal Brand?

Your personal brand is combination of the following items:

  • The face you show to the world of work and the supporting documents that position you including your professional profiles, your resume, your portfolio, and so on.
  • The promise of your quality of work, skills, and problem solving abilities
  • Your reputation and opinions of others about you and your work
  • Everything you are posting online, every email that you write, every time you meet or talk to someone, every time you are in public, everything that you're doing is acting in congruence with the goal of your personal brand.

Why is a Personal Brand Important?

You personal brand expresses what your competitive advantage is, to set you apart from everybody else that is applying for the same position.
